Pit detoxing
Deodorant is necessary if you would like to have friends, probably. There are so many toxic chemicals in the products we put so closely to our lymph nodes. I won’t go into all the bad stuff they put in deodorants…just google it for yourself.
If you are unsure about the switch to the non-antiperspirant, and all the sweaty stinkiness that you are not used to in your underarms, try a pit detox to get ready! Since your body is not used to doing the job on it’s own, you may need to unclog pores and remove toxins. I will not promise that you will not have sweaty pits on 90 degree days, but I can promise you that natural deodorant (WELL, MY RECIPE) will keep you from the unpleasant BO.
First, a few best practices for fresh pits. 1. Wear loose fitting clothing so your pits can breathe. 2. Avoid synthetic materials which block your skin from breathing.
Detoxing with bentonite clay draws out impurities and toxins and unclogs those pores that traditional deodorants do to our bodies. Mix 1 tablespoon bentonite clay with 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar in a ceramic or glass bowl and spread on your underarms like a facial mask. Wipe clean and repeat 1 or 2 times per week or as needed to cleanse and prep your skin for the healthy stuff. Your body will thank you.
